118. Enter The Ninja

Does Franco Nero cry in every film he is in? A lovely Cannon Films treat

103. Il Cacciatore Di Squali (The Shark Hunter)

This was a fucking treat. Nero plays a mysterious ‘gringo’ by the name of Mike! Fucking Mike! Mike the exotic shark hunter who knows of a plane wreckage at the bottom of the ocean holding $100 million in cash, locked up in a safe. This is Castellari all over and with the De Angelis brothers providing a strangely hypnotic disco soundtrack proves why Italian films can be so infectious.

Tell me this doesn’t look like the best film you have ever seen. Franco Nero wrestling sharks!!!!

DJANGOOOOO

Eurocrime time!

71. La polizia incrimina la legge assolve (High Crime)

Most peoples go to film for poliziotteschi and it really is a good film. Adding emotional elements to your average crime film, it tells the tale of one cops struggle against an International drug ring.

Castellari’s films go one way or another, luckily this is on the right side of exploitation and provides the usual nasty moments along with the token poliziotteschi child death.

For a film that is this highly regarded amongst the genre fans its a real shame there is no proper dvd release, I watched a grey market video transfer with bad sound and terrible scene cuts. It has to be due a clean up.
